    Responsibilities

    As a cook and dietary aide at The Laurels, you'll be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals tailored to each guest's dietary requirements. Your duties include:

    • Following standardized recipes
    • Preparing meals according to set menu cycles
    • Cooking appetizing and nutritious meals in the right quantities and temperatures
    • Minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of supplies and equipment
    • Offering food alternatives to accommodate guest preferences
    • Supervising culinary staff in food preparation and cleanliness

    When needed, you'll oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the chef or dietary manager.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent desired
    • Previous experience as a cook or dietary aide in a similar food service environment preferred
    • Certification or acceptable exemption required
