    Work Schedule:

    8:00am-5:00pm; Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required in conjunction with event schedules.

    Primary Purpose of Position:

    Perform repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on equipment and facility components as needed. Follow the Preventative Maintenance Program and complete Work Requests with campus facility management to ensure that components of the facility and equipment are given the maximum life expectancy. Manage and complete setup and strike for athletic events. Manage athletic department waste and recycling program. Assist with campus facility software programs (e.g., access control, HVAC, ARCHIBUS, etc.). Assist with playing field surface preparation, which may include (but is not limited to) Field lining, field maintenance, and field repair.

    Minimum Education/Experience:

    Required Minimum Qualifications:
    Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

    University Preferred Qualifications:
    Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years experience. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

    Essential Job Duties:
    • Responsible for assisting the Director of Athletic Facilities in the maintenance/preparation of all athletic facilities for day-to-day operations and events.
    • Repair issues if needed and work with facilities management through ARCHIBUS work requests on technical repairs.
    • Own the preventative maintenance schedule for all utility vehicles. Perform minor maintenance repairs on equipment or vehicles. Diagnose equipment problems and repair them if possible. If not, arrange for professional maintenance.
    • Manage and complete setup and strike for track meets and cross-country events.
    • Assist with setup and strike of Jerry Richardson Stadium. Serve as primary maintenance contact during football games.
    • Assist in game management duties for Baseball and Softball, including field lining and maintenance.

    Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
    • We are seeking someone with experience in collegiate athletics, including facilities, operations, or game management.
    • The ideal candidate should have experience in athletic playing field surface preparation, which includes (but is not limited to) field lining, field maintenance, and field repair.
    • Competencies in using hand tools, power tools, and power equipment are necessary for this position.

    Necessary Licenses or Certifications:

    Positions may be required to possess and maintain required certification, licensure, educational level, and/or experience criteria as applicable to the tasks being performed and follow applicable building codes.
