    Job Title: Accounting Manager

    Location: Mequon, WI or Summerville, SC

    Description:

    The Accounting Manager will oversee all activities relating to cash and work closely with the Controller on all accounting department functions to ensure efficiency and compliance. This role will support sufficient business liquidity by maintaining an efficient cash cycle.

    This position requires thorough knowledge of GAAP along with excellent ERP skills. The Accounting Manager will direct the financial activities of the organization including:

    • Establishing objectives for the accounts receivable team, monitoring invoice processing, and ensuring timely collection of payments.
    • Supervising the accounts receivable staff and ensuring cash application and collections are timely and accurate.
    • Processing account receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Creating effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and sales departments.
    • Determining credit worthiness of new and existing customers.
    • Preparing monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports.
    • Managing projects to automate and streamline accounting functions.
    • Analyzing and maintaining adequate reserves for customer rebates, returns, and bad debt.
    • Serving as second in command of the department and backup to controller on accounting matters, including close process, reconciliations and year end audit.

    Requirements:

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A Bachelor's degree in accounting.
    • CPA certification is a plus.
    • Three to five years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
    • Self-motivation, enthusiasm and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated initiative, judgment, tact and diplomacy while dealing with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities unsupervised.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
    • Strong computer skills, specifically Excel (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).
    • Experience with ERP accounting modules, notably NetSuite.

    Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
