    Atlas is seeking aSenior Project Manager - Transportation(Metro) to join our Texas team. The successful candidate will have a network of transportation connections and regional expertise in Traffic Transportation Planning, Roadway/Highway Design, Construction Materials and Traffic Engineering.

    The candidate must possess a valid Texas PE license and have recent TxDOT contract administration experience.Duties will be performed in both the office and in the field including significant contact with clients, residents, contractors, public agencies and private owners.Candidate must also direct and supervise field activities and staff, office engineering, inspections, materials testing and act as liaison with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, design professionals and regulatory agencies.

    Essential Duties:
    • Initiate, develop, and maintain close client relationships including the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and municipal entities throughout Texas.
    • Develop client account plans including identification of project opportunities and new pursuits
    • Assist in the development of marketing strategies for transportation project opportunities.
    • Manage the preparation of proposals, presentations, contract procedures and client invoicing
    • Actively network and participate in professional organizations at the local and regional levels
    • Provide leadership and oversite during project executions
    • Develop creative and innovative approaches to Marketing the companys services
    • Development and maintain close client and staff relationships
    • Oversee the delivery of transportation projects; the execution of creative approaches to project development and personal dedication to serving client needs.
    Requirements

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
    • Texas PE
    • 10+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering or Texas Department of Transportation environment.
    • Technical expert in managing construction of large, complex Metro transportation project, including constructability reviews and claims defense.
    • Proven track record of successful project and client development
    • Experienced in preparing technical approaches and work plans (write ups) to support RFQs and technical proposals.
    • Inspection certifications, and associated training preferred
    • Strong Construction / Contract Administration background
    • Experience leading a team of field staff
    • Project management experience on a variety of Federal, State, County and City construction projects and contracts
    • The ability to read and understand contracts, plans, special provisions and documents as related to roadway and bridge construction.
    • Knowledgeable on State Federal Contract Administration processes and procedures
    • Resolve or facilitate the resolution of discrepancies or problems with contract documents and issues arising from field operations
    • Create and maintains open and productive communications among subordinates, sub-consultants, Atlas management, contractors, clients and the public
    • Document the progress of the work, problems that develop, and work proactively in identifying potential problems/issues and solutions.
