    Description


    This position is responsible for quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization; for ensuring that policies and procedures follow our management system requirements including customer, ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements; for evaluating and reporting quality metrics; and for managing the quality and test department staff.

    Duties and Reponsibilities

    Develop and implement an ISO 9001 QMS and maintain third-party certification for all US sites.
    Develop and implement effective quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Interact with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to establish quality standards.

    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive efficiency gains.

    Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the quality team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure a high level of competence and engagement.

    Oversee the development and maintenance of robust supplier quality management processes, including the evaluation and qualification of suppliers, ongoing monitoring, and collaboration on continuous improvement initiatives.

    Conduct structured supplier audits both remotely and on-site.
    Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven approaches to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of quality issues.

    Develop, measure, monitor, and drive actions to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for quality (FPY %, scrap, COPQ, RPPM, SRPPM, etc...) Provide regular reports to senior management on KPI's and improvement action plans.

    Implement, manage, and report on internal, customer, and supplier corrective and preventive action systems. Monitor, support, and drive open items to completion.
    Implement, manage, and report on Calibration, NCR, FAI, and PPAP systems. Monitor, support, and drive open items to completion.
    Satisfy all customer-required product documentation related to quality, test, and 3rd party test reports.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


    Possess a strong background in quality management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

    BS/BA degree in engineering or related field
    Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance standards, methodologies, and tools relevant to manufacturing, including ISO 9001, UL, etc.
    Experience facilitating and delivering customer-specific quality documentation
    Knowledge and skills in root cause analysis methods and statistical tools (I.E. Minitab)
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
