    The EmPATH Nurse Role:

    • Provide support during crisis situations and medical emergencies
    • Administer necessary injections and medications
    • Conduct intake assessments, drug screenings, and charting

    Job Purpose Summary:

    • Deliver short-term treatment services to prevent hospital admissions
    • Cater to individuals facing mental health crises
    • Focus on stabilizing and facilitating access to essential services

    Working Conditions:

    • Provide direct medical care during 12-hour shifts
    • Ensure nursing coverage regardless of weather conditions or holidays
    • Utilize de-escalation techniques effectively

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Perform initial assessments and necessary paperwork
    • Administer medications and conduct vital checks
    • Coordinate with emergency services when required
    • Update logs and document client information accurately

    Team Collaboration:

    • Maintain punctuality and good attendance records
    • Participate in team meetings and shift reports
    • Build positive relationships with colleagues and supervisors
    • Resolve conflicts professionally and promote a diverse work environment

    Compensation:

    • Salary for RN: $66,724/yr (hourly) and LPN: $45,078/yr (hourly)
    • Sign-On Bonus Offered

    Schedule & Requirements:

    • 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, and holidays
    • Attendance and alertness are crucial
    • Advance notice required for schedule changes

    Qualifications:

    • Current RN or LPN license with psychiatric nursing experience
    • Preferably BSN or ANA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing

    Experience & Skills:

    • Thorough knowledge of psychiatric treatments and medications
    • Experience with special populations and crisis intervention
    • Ability to work in high-pressure environments

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to remain alert during shifts and handle physical tasks
    • Exposure to biological hazards and odors may occur
    • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and de-escalation techniques

    Location:

    • Knoxville, Tennessee
