Description
Primary Purpose of PositionNorth Carolina Central University's Department of Language and Literature invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer. Our department offers many of the university's general education courses, such as Elementary Spanish I and II. We seek a versatile colleague with a record of teaching college level Spanish in face-to-face and online formats. The successful candidate will teach a 4/4 load, consisting of Elementary Spanish I and Elementary Spanish II. Teaching certification in the state of North Carolina is highly preferred. We especially encourage candidates with demonstrated ability to teach Elementary Spanish as well as mentor and recruit students. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1 Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching in both face-to-face and online formats.
2. Evidence of demonstrated departmental service or potential to provide departmental and university service on curriculum and other committees.
3. Experience teaching Spanish at the university level. Minimum Education/Experience
