My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team In this role you will oversee general accounting operations and validate financial transactions while being directly responsible for reconciliation, maintaining the trial balance and performing month-end close procedures.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and enter journal entries for month and year-end close
Produce and present error-free accounting reports
Maintain fixed asset system including opening/closing projects, reconciliation and reporting
Prepare financial reports including variance analysis to budget and past year
Assist in year end audits
Interact with various departments during month and year end process
Analyze and reconcile annual and monthly GL accounts
Support plant and corporate staff in Ad-hoc projects
Follow company policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
Assist with tax audits and returns
Minimum Required Qualifications
Degree in Accounting
4 years prior experience
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of US GAAP
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
CPA preferred
