- Teaches courses as assigned - minimally one class per year or 4 total credits. Provides adequate preparation of the course material for all assigned courses.
- Collaborates with workforce center personnel and employers on program referrals, internships and job placement for students entering, studying, and completing renewable energy, ensuring grant goals for enrollment, completion and employment are fulfilled.
- Advising: communicate with students regularly to provide program academic and training guidance and connect to campus resources for specialized services.
- Oversee departmental operations to include:
- Purchasing of goods and services, instructional items and text books
- Maintenance of renewable energy equipment and the inventory of supplies
- Responsibility for department's fiscal budget and operations as per State of Colorado Fiscal Rules to include grant participation
- Facilitation of department meetings on a regular basis
- Development of class schedule and curriculum needs
- Supervision of work-study students
- Program recruitment and tours
- Attend PCC, divisional, and departmental meetings regularly
- Supervision of all instructional staff to include hiring, and observation of Part-Time instructors.
- Course development and management assessment of student learning outcome measurements for the program to ensure alignment with CCCS and industry needs. Participation in the development, review and revision of the curriculum and complete required surveys and reports for local, state and national organizations as needed.

- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent
- OSHA certification
- Renewable energy certification in any related field
- 2 years of experience in the Renewable Energy Field
- Successful teaching experience in a related field.
- Previous experience with the budgeting and purchasing
- Ability to use good judgment and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work individually or in groups to complete projects.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated skill working with a diverse population
- Ability to communicate clearly to multiple diverse groups to include administration, stakeholders, employees, and students.

Department Purpose
The mission of the Industrial Technology Maintenance Department at Pueblo Community College is to provide each student with the ability to safely and efficiently troubleshoot motors and controls, instrumentation and PLC's. The department of Pueblo Community College strives to provide Industrial Technology Maintenance learning experiences that respect the diversity of our students.
Position Summary
The Renewable Energy Coordinator is to assist in the establishment and growth of the training and education programs in renewable energy. This position's contribution is to strengthen the talent pipeline for employers and allow students to gain skills needed to secure good jobs. This position will provide program leadership and supervision in this emerging department to include daily operations, curriculum management, supervision of instructors, development, purchasing and administration of program budget. The position will act as a liaison with related departments and serve as the renewable energy lead for PCC in credit and non-credit pathways. This person coordinates program compliance to state and national standards and ensures adherence to program and student learning outcomes. The Renewable Energy Coordinator will also be a part of the instructional team and work directly with employers, participants and students.
This position has been identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) in accordance with Department of Education guidelines. As a CSA, the incumbent is required to report crimes that they become aware of to the Department of Public Safety and must attend related annual training.
In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes , this position has been exempted from the State Personnel System.
