    Position Summary We are looking for Medical Assistant to perform clinical and administrative tasks for both Pediatric and Adult patients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.

    The MAwill assist with patient preparation for exams, minor office procedures, and with the examination and education of patients.

    The MA supports other members of the clinical team by assuring optimal patient flow, managing a variable and unpredictable patient volume throughout the workday.

    Key Functions & Responsibilities + Greet patients and family members in a courteousmanner. + Screen patients and document information accurately in patient'schart. + Escort patients to treatment room, preparing patient with clearinstructions. + Prepare patients for examination and perform routine screeningtests. + Measure and record vitalsigns. + Assist with medicalprocedures. + Perform Phlebotomy, EKG, and collection of labspecimens. + Educate patients and family members concerning the visit and proceduresperformed. + Provide all proper discharge and follow up instructions topatients. + Perform outreach calls to patients and specialty offices asrequested. + Check electronic outbox of providers and address urgentissues.

    + Complete EHR data entry + Adhere to all safety protocols including standard precautions, transmission-based precautions, and other infection controlpolicies.

    Minimum Qualifications + High School graduate, or equivalent. + 1 year experience is preferred; not required. + Must have current MA Certificate from an accredited school. + Current BLS/CPR certification required. + Ability to maintain quality, safety, and / or infection control standards.

    + Knowledge of methods, procedures and protocols, including federal, state and local laws + handling and disposal of hazardous biochemical waste products.

    + Communication skills (including appropriate medical terminology) + Ability to use good reasoning and judgment to react calmly in emergencysituations.

    + Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experiencepreferred.
