    Summary of Position:
    # As the Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) and Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) Administrator for Saratoga Hospital, this position will maintain and improve patient care and safety, as well as physician relations through administration of the CVIS / PACS, clinical applications, modalities, workflows, and emerging technologies. Acts as liaison between personnel and IT vendors providing oversight and direction for CVIS # Medical Imaging PACS and clinical staff knowledge. Oversee operations as it pertains to PACS of both the cardiology and medical imaging departments.#

    This will include clinical workflow, inventory control, department billing, clinical data aggregations relating to organizational PACS, CVIS and clinical applications.

    # Interacts with system vendors and organizational PACS users to resolve problems and communicates activities.# Provides leadership with support technology within Cardiology and Medical Imaging.


    Primary Job Responsibilities:
    # Implements and supports daily operation of the CVIS and Medical Imaging Information systems including network servers, workstations, hardware and applications support. Monitors and manages System performance and CVIS PACS storage, disk space allocation, device configuration and system back-up.# Maximizing fully the systems# capabilities to meet the departmental goals of quality patient care, cost management, and operational efficiency.

    Monitors the performance of PACS including image quality, system performance, all interfaces and overall network throughput and ensures appropriate actions are taken to resolve any issues.

    Coordinating, preparing, reviewing, and compiling specialized reports as needed. Continually assesses performance and capacity while strategically planning for future growth within both the CVIS and Medical Imaging systems Coordinates the testing of systems, applications, upgrades and all other times needed to insure the integrity of the systems. Assisting in the analysis and selection of new equipment. Determining departmental impact of hardware/software upgrades and serving as overall project#manager for such upgrades.     Minimum Qualifications:
    #BS in Information Systems or Computer Science and a minimum of three years# experience with CVIS and / or Picture Archiving Technology networking, programming and microcomputer support required; or an Associate#s degree in Information Systems and 5 years of experience in networking, programming and microcomputer support required.# Experience in health care based information systems and Medical Imaging information systems preferred.


    Salary Range:
    $ $54.63
