    DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the processing of product through the Scanning and Bulk areas (picking, scanning, packing, and labeling).

    Ensures product is processed in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Motivates and leads employees towards success and teamwork. Ensures safety, quality and production standards are met. Collaborate with other Distribution Supervisors and Managers to maximize work flow and meet facility goals.

    KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    Executes daily/weekly department production plan to ensure department goals are met in an accurate, timely and safe manner. Uses distribution software (V16) and Excel spreadsheets to effectively monitor production flow. Works with other distribution departments to meet distribution goals.
    Looks for ways to improve efficiencies and throughput in the department. Takes action to implement improvement; fosters the use of the quality process within the department; and promotes employee involvement.
    Sets and measures performance objectives including production percentages, quality ratings and inventory accuracy. Examines output ensuring conformance to procedures and customer requirements. Drives successful performance and counsels employees as necessary. Looks for ways to reward peak performers.
    Manages employees and resolves employee issues, involving Human Resources when appropriate. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire. Supports the training process in their department. Provides employee coaching and development. Counsels and disciplines as necessary. Recommends terminations in accordance to policies and procedures.
    Reviews and confirms payroll hours and production statistics ensuring accurate and timely payroll records.
    Additional duties as assigned.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    Education
    High school diploma, GED or equivalent in experience required.
    Relevant Work Experience
    Minimum of two years

    warehouse/distribution

    supervisory experience in a production driven environment.
    Strong knowledge of material handling operations, methods, and practices.
    Technical Skills
    Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word).
    Experience using warehouse inventory software required.
    Other Qualifications
    A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
    Experience leading pay-for-performance production environments strongly preferred.
    Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
    An ability to achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and associate relations.
    Team-oriented, excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    Ability to effectively manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
