Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic bartender to join our team at Vern's. As a bartender, you will be responsible for crafting delicious cocktails, providing exceptional customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, according to recipes and customer preferences
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and offering recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces
• Monitor and control inventory levels, anticipating needs and ordering supplies as necessary
• Adhere to all alcohol service regulations and ensure responsible serving practices are followed
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change as needed
• Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure efficient service and a positive dining experience for guests
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of the bar area
• Stay up-to-date on current industry trends and participate in training and development opportunities as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, and mixology techniques
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• TIPS or similar certification is preferred but not required
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be of legal drinking age
