    RN Supervisor Weekend Warrior


    SHIFT:
    Work two consecutive 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Sunday, and Monday


    STARTING RATE:
    $38.00/hr. ($ $42.00/hr., depending on experience)

    JOB DESCRIPTION:


    An RN Supervisor oversees the day-to-day clinical activities of health care personnel, such as LPNs and CNAs, while maintaining a safe environment for residents and striving to meet maximum security and comfort needs.

    Able to interpret patient information. Make critical decisions about necessary actions and administer medication, wound care, and other personalized interventions.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plansPrepares and administers, and records prescribed medicationsRecords patients' medical information and vital signsAssesses the patient's ability to do routine daily tasksRecognizes and manages geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory, and pain problemsPrepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of the patientCommunicate with family members regarding patientRecords all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate formsPerforms other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting


    REQUIREMENTS:
    New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensureExperience in long-term care facility preferredAble to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actionsAbility to supervise and work well with and show respect toward other healthcare personnel (i.e., CNAs, LPNs, physicians, etc.), residents, and their family membersStrong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructionsAble to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindnessPhysical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
