    The Foster Care Case Manager collaborates with DCFS to deliver appropriate casework services to individuals and families within the Foster Care program, including case management and adherence to licensing requirements. Remote work possibilities are available post-training.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
    • Placing and overseeing children in foster care in line with contract/program plan requirements.
    • Maintaining and monitoring suitable placements to ensure safety, permanency, and well-being goals are achieved. Completing documentation and required visits within specified timeframes
    • Submitting all referral forms and other necessary documentation to achieve permanency goals effectively and efficiently within established timeframes
    • Finalizing all Caritas paperwork and adhering to program expectations relevant to the role.
    • Establishing a therapeutic relationship and involving families, caregivers, and other service providers in the treatment process.
    • Utilizing and coordinating appropriate agency and community resources to address the needs of those being assisted.
    Qualifications

    To excel in this role, an individual must fulfill the prerequisites for Child Welfare Licensure. The individual must also be capable of satisfactorily performing each essential duty. The requirements detailed below reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field of human services. A minimum of 2 years' experience is required for Specialized Case Work. Prior experience as a Case Manager is advantageous.
