    Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Model Engineer to join our team and lead the development of software models for various applications, frameworks, and software components
    The successful candidate will oversee the conception, specification, design, programming, documentation, testing, and bug fixing processes to ensure the creation and maintenance of high-quality software models
    Additionally, the candidate will have expertise in building various types of software models determined by simulation event requirements

    Responsibilities


    • Lead the conception, specification, design, and implementation of software models for diverse simulation event requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define model specifications, and architect solutions for software model development.
    • Utilize software modeling methodologies to build and validate software models, ensuring accuracy and reliability in simulated environments.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior model engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Drive the adoption of software modeling best practices within the organization, promoting a culture of quality and efficiency.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in software modeling, and advocate for their adoption to enhance our modeling practices
    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software modeling, with a focus on conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing.
    • Strong background in software modeling methodologies, including experience in building various types of software models determined by simulation event requirements.
    • Proficiency in software modeling tools and frameworks such as MATLAB Simulink, OpenModelica, or similar.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of delivering high-quality software models.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus

    Target salary range:
    $123,000 - $219,000

    Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
