Job Description:
A privately held real estate development, investment, and management company seeks an Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting departmentManage and supervise a team of accounting professionalsEnsure accurate and timely financial reportingPrepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsConduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-makingPerform financial audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal controlsDevelop and implement accounting policies and proceduresMonitor cash flow and manage working capitalCollaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting processesMaintain accurate records of financial transactions
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practicesAppFolio experience is a big plus. Will also consider Yardi and MRI experienceMust have residential real estate experienceAbility to interpret financial reports and analyze data for trends and insightsProficiency in cash flow analysis to optimize liquidity managementExperience in conducting financial audits and ensuring compliance with regulationsFamiliarity with payroll processes and related tax regulationsAbility to forecast financial performance based on historical data and market trendsSolid understanding of financial accounting principles, including revenue recognition, expense allocation, and asset valuationProficiency in using accounting software for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting purposesKnowledge of corporate accounting practices, including inter-company transactions and consolidation
