Job Overview

The Optical Assembly Technician plays a vital role in creating high-performance optical components for military systems and advanced imaging technology. You will work on products that are essential for mission-critical operations, including equipment designed to function in harsh conditions. You Will:

Assemble precision optical components and mechanical subassemblies efficiently to meet production goals.
Perform fine alignment of optical elements using advanced tools such as microscopes and laser alignment systems.
Carefully apply adhesives and bonding agents while adhering to specifications and handling requirements.
Install mechanical fasteners precisely to ensure optical and structural integrity.
Inspect components for defects and verify optical performance with sophisticated testing equipment.
Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of production processes.
Collaborate with colleagues to address any nonconformities and enhance quality control.
Follow strict assembly instructions and maintain a cleanroom environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing insights on tools and processes.

You Have:

1-3 years of experience in optical assembly, micro-assembly, or precision manufacturing.
A High School Diploma/GED.
Excellent manual dexterity and comfort working with delicate components under magnification.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
Familiarity with optical handling and contamination control practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to process discipline.
Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.
Basic computer skills for recording production data.
