A leading global management consulting and transformation firm is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join its leadership team.
This individual will play a critical role in translating strategic objectives into measurable financial outcomes while driving sustainable growth and operational excellence.
This role reports directly to executive leadership and will be responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide FP&A, treasury management, and supporting corporate development initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
The Director of FP&A will lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, treasury operations, and strategic financial analysis for the organization. This role also supports growth initiatives through M&A evaluation and integration planning.
The position interacts closely with senior executives and department leaders, providing financial insights, performance analysis, and strategic guidance to drive informed decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis Leadership
Lead preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for executive leadership, Board of Directors, and department heads.
Own financial analysis and commentary, including variance analysis and trend interpretation.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial results, forecasts, and reporting.
Oversee the rolling forecasting process and maintain the enterprise financial model.
Incorporate operational metrics and business drivers into financial forecasts.
Support and coordinate the annual budgeting process, including development of a multi-year financial plan with scenario modeling and stress testing.
Analyze key performance indicators to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Serve as a financial subject matter expert on complex performance and operational issues.
Design and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Partner with functional leaders (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Talent, Operations) to review performance versus plan and update forecasts accordingly.
Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Treasury Management
Oversee daily and weekly cash positioning.
Prepare quarterly cash flow, debt, and liquidity reporting for executive leadership and lenders.
Manage banking and lender relationships.
Develop and implement treasury policies, controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
Corporate Development & M&A
Support full lifecycle execution of M&A transactions, including target identification, evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning.
Develop financial models and valuation analyses for potential acquisitions.
Coordinate due diligence efforts across internal teams and external advisors.
Collaborate with executive leadership and target companies to ensure successful transaction execution.
Support post-acquisition integration planning to align financial and operational frameworks.
Qualifications
Required Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in finance.
5+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
Strong financial modeling expertise with deep understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow interdependencies.
Proven experience building and managing robust financial reporting and forecasting processes in a high-growth environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop finance professionals.
Strong analytical capabilities with high attention to detail and ownership.
Experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree.
Experience within professional services or consulting organizations.
Experience operating within a private equity or sponsor-backed environment.
Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and planning tools (e.g., cloud-based ERP and planning platforms).
