    Description

    **This is a full-time position on-site at our Medina, Ohio location**

    As an Industrial Engineer Intern at Carlisle Brake and Friction, you will take a hands-on approach to help plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Interns will typically support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in studying job descriptions and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and identify areas of duplication
    • Assist with work measurement programs and perform time work samples to develop standards for labor utilization
    • Assist with analyzing work force utilization, facility layout and operational data, such as, production costs process flow charts, and production schedules
    • Other tasks may be assigned as needed

    Requirements

    Education:
    • Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Industrial Engineering or other related technical degree
    • Completion of at least freshman year of study
    • Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
    Experience and/or Training:
    • Prior co-op/internship experience is preferred, but not necessary
    • Manufacturing experience proves beneficial in this position
