Description

We are seeking an Entry CNC Operator to join our Roll Shop team at our Pueblo, Colorado location.

The Entry CNC Operator's primary function is to will be responsible for the dressing and turning of rolls for all our Rolling Mills, in a safe manner.

Utilize and safely operate CNC lathe, CNC grinder, cutting tools, templates, hand tools, associated measuring tools, blueprints, Rolling Mill rolls, and necessary safety equipment
Select programs, templates, tools, and optimum operation of lathe or grinder
Provide information and technical assistance to the Rolling Mills
Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly
Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required
Coordinate and work with mill personnel in maintaining mill production, while operating all equipment needed to complete the job and utilizing necessary safety equipment
Notify supervision and maintenance personnel of all abnormal job and equipment conditions.

Must be a qualified CNC operator with 3-5 years machining experience preferred
~ 2 or 4 year degree in CNC Programming, Machining, or related field
~ Knowledge of the tools and equipment used for industrial purposes
~ Possess an understanding of the basic manufacturing process and familiarity with heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining; or a closely related field
~ Ability to safely and appropriately operate, power and hand tools, machinery, and mobile equipment; able to take simple measurements and perform basic mathematical operations (e.g., Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, with exposure to elevated noise levels, extreme heat and cold, physical hazards - close proximity to moving parts, hot surfaces, pinch points, sparks, sharp edges, high pressure air, oxygen and gas lines (atmospheric conditions may require the use of a respirator)
~ Must be able to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment, which will include but not be limited to repetition, climbing, kneeling, standing, crawling, consistent exertion of forces up to 50 pounds or more
~ Must be willing to work varied shifts (3 shift rotation) and any days of the week
~ Valid driver's license preferred – required for certain positions within the scope of Steel Production Worker
~ Candidates will be required to demonstrate aptitude through testing

We are seeking a Mill Electrical Technician to join our team at our plant located in Pueblo, Colorado.

As a Mill Electrical Technician (MET), you will provide all necessary electrical, electronic and combustion-instrumentation maintenance to all areas of the Mill in a safe and efficient manner.

Serve the function(s) of a Combustion-Instrumentation Technician, Electronic Repairman and/or Electrical Inspector (Maintenance Electrician) depending upon training and certification
Complete the RMSM training program to become skilled in all three of the crafts mentioned above
Troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, assemble and install a variety of equipment throughout the mill
Work with Electric Shop, Combustion Lab and Electronic Shop equipment and tools, mobile equipment of every kind, controls, switches, valves, ovens, furnaces, machinery, cranes, prints and drawings
Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly
Operate overhead cranes as needed
in close proximity to moving parts, electrical currents; working on scaffolding and high places; exposure to natural gas, high heat, hot surfaces, molten metal, chemicals, oils and lubricants
Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required

Must have completed or have the equivalence of a craft apprenticeship in one of the following three crafts: Combustion-Instrumentation Technician, Electronic Repairman and Electrical Inspector (Maintenance Electrician)
~1 – 3 years of experience as an electrician in heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining; experience working with machinery, overhead cranes, equipment operation or a closely related field preferred
~ Valid Colorado's license and mobile equipment qualification
~ Strong troubleshooting, repair and installation skills
~ Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage your time when given multiple tasks
~ Qualified Candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency through testing

48 per hour
~ Shift differential
