    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Next Narrative Monologue Competition (NNMC) Program Coordinator is responsible for recruitment, training, and supporting all administrative functions of the Milwaukee Regionals for this national competition. This is a seasonal position working between 15 and 20 hours per week from early September through early May. They work to develop relationships with community partners and schools to ensure a great experience for our students that aligns with both Milwaukee Rep's and the partners' goals.
    Major Duties and Responsibilities Include:

    • Manage the implementation of Next Narrative Monologue Competition - Milwaukee Regionals.
    • Recruit students to participate in both training opportunities and auditions.
    • Teach workshops and residencies leading up to the competition.
    • Coach students in performing a monologue.
    • Collaborate with the E&E Director of Programs and Associate Director of Education on developing partnerships with schools and youth-serving organizations.
    • Implement, develop and/or adapt curriculum for workshops and classes.
    • Work with the Associate Director of Education on Teaching Artist assignment needs and complete bi-weekly check-ins on workshops and classes.
    • Support the administration duties of the Next Narrative Monologue Competition including assessment and evaluation, communication with Education & Engagement staff, participating schools and students, organization of materials, etc.
    Requirements

    Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
    • Experience and/or training in theater education and administration which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
    • Knowledge of, experience in, and a passion for theater.
    • Experience in performing arts with high school students.
    • Solid classroom management skills preferred.
    • Knowledge of and experience in curriculum development.
    • Ability to work independently and to lead, train and motivate others.
    • Access to a personal vehicle is helpful for travel to schools ( but not required ).
    • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and federal laws.

    Salary Description

    $17 per hour
