Presently, we seek a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join forces with our esteemed client based in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.

As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer, you will take charge of the engineering process for 4/5 axis machining, starting with the selection and design of workholding solutions.

Your responsibilities extend to CAM programming and simulation, collaborating with the QC department on inspection procedures, and providing support to shop floor personnel during part launches.

Key Responsibilities:
Engineer 4/5 axis machining processes, beginning with the selection and design of workholding solutions.
Progress to CAM programming and simulation, ensuring precision and efficiency in the machining workflow.
Collaborate with the QC department to establish and refine inspection processes.
Provide support to shop floor personnel during the launch of new parts.


Qualifications:
Highly proficient in using Mastercam for simultaneous 5 axis milling.
Extensive experience in designing complex workholding solutions for challenging parts.
In-depth knowledge of modern cutting tool and toolholding systems.
Sound understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Experience with hard metals is a plus.
Familiarity with Vericut is a plus.
Solidworks experience is a plus.
Mill/Turn experience is a plus.
