    Overview:

    We are looking for a Patient Service Representative in Suffolk, VA 23435 to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. The ideal candidate requires to have a Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental office setting. Would need to have knowledge in dealing with dental insurance companies, scheduling, checking patients in and out. Comfortable with posting insurance checks and answering phones. Must have strong communication skills and willing to help patients. We provide benefits, and a nice work environment.

    Hours: Mon - FRi 7:50a-5p and One Saturday a month 7:20a-12p

    Responsibilities:

    The Receptionist is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering our office. They will greet patients, sign them in, schedule future appointments, and handle incoming phone calls. They will assist patients in accordance with the training they have received ensuring patients receive the best possible service.

    • Provide excellent patient service by acknowledging, smiling, and greeting patients upon arrival/dismissal
    • Address patient inquiries and concerns in accordance with DCA Policies
    • Answering Telephones
    • Manage appointment scheduling efficiently
    • Maintaining Appointment Book
    • Confirming Appointments
    • Follow up on no shows/cancellation of Appointments
    • Register Patients on sign in sheet
    • Post charges and payments to patient accounts
    • Checking voice-mail on a daily basis
    • Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental office setting
    • Familiarity with insurance plans such as HMO and PPO is advantageous
    • Experience answering telephone
    • Must have exceptional customer service skills
