    New Cambria Hotel by Choice, with 127 rooms, full restaurant and bar is looking for an experienced Fulltime Director of Sales. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Solicit new business from key demand generators by segment, ensure brand website has correct and relevant information, analyze competition's strengths and weaknesses for each market segment, and developing relationships within the community.     Job Responsibilities:

    • Works with sales staff to achieve sales goals and helps to work efficiently and successfully develop client relationships that are productive.
    • Executing the ideas in the business plan.
    • Daily sales calls, entertainment with potential business clients, special promotions, direct mailing, outside appointments, sales blitzes, trade shows, selecting appropriate advertising and attending industry events are some of the necessary activities of this position.
    • Reviews all group bookings, selecting good business, monitoring rates, implementing yield management and increasing the number of preferred guests at a maximum rate.
    • Keeps the hotel listed in industry listings, association newsletters and other appropriate publications.
    • Selects and develops the hotel advertising and makes proposal to General Manager.
    • Develops and maintains a mailing list for the various market segments as well as creating promotional pieces to obtain business for stress periods.
    • Conducts oneself at all times in a professional business manner, acts as a professional representative of the hotel and an enthusiastic member of the sales team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education: High School diploma or GED
    • Experience – Minimum of 2-3 years of full service hotel sales experience.
    • Supervisory/Management experience strongly desired.
    • Valid Driver's License is required

    Required Skills:

    • Presents a pleasant and professional image to all potential guests and clients
    • Strong leadership, salesmanship and public relations skills
    • Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills
    • Operate the sales department within the established sales expense budget.
    • Proficient in computer skills.
    • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
    • Ability to work as a team player with all levels of hotel staff.
    • Excellent guest relation skills
    • Fluent in English in both written and verbal communication.
    • The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays and special events as needed.
