- Provide support for financial planning engagements for PYA Waltman Capital clients by assisting with the following:
- Gathering and organizing data
- Developing financial plan analyses and scenarios including client onboarding and portfolio reviews
- Preparing presentations for client meetings, including managing meeting notes and action items
- Interact with clients, including phone call and email correspondence with clients
- Assist with business development meetings including the creation of presentations and materials
- Serve as a engagement manager by proactively managing action items for the planning team, with a focus on moving client engagements ahead as they progress through the financial planning process
- Assist with other projects and research as needed
- Bachelor degree in business, accounting, finance, financial planning, economics or related experience.
- Pursuit of Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQPTM) and/or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation. Completion of CFP coursework preferred but not required.
- Minimum of one to two years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to financial planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with various financial planning, CRM, portfolio management and document management software preferred
- Team player, collaborative, takes initiative, and exhibits second-level thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities and multi-task
- Committed to providing excellent client service; possesses a passion to help new and existing clients
