    Job Responsibilities

    The HR Coordinator organizes the recruitment, engagement and retention functions of the College to support the College's human resources goals and to create a high-quality employee experience.

    Coordinates the Recruitment and Retention Plan. Coordinates all stages of the candidate experience including application, interviews and communication.

    Provides excellent services and support for supervisors, faculty, and staff on matters involving recruitment and hiring, employee engagement, employee retention, and other services that support and enhance the mission and values of the College.

    Responsible for the administration of the Employee Performance Management process.

    Accountable for maintaining and updating College's org chart, employee databases and reports as needed. Updates College's webpage and Sharepoint site as needed.

    Assigns and maintains compliance training for College (TREAD).

    Coordinates college compliance with SACSCOC standards by requesting and filing employees' official transcripts, ensuring Faculty credentials are
    complete, verified, and/or justified by the Dean and approved by the VP of Academic Affairs.

    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree and experience in human resources.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in human resources, particularly in higher education or similar settings.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse groups.

    Technical proficiency with HRIS systems and digital content management.

    Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    PHR/SPHR and /or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

    Additional Comments

    Knowledge of recruitment, performance management, policy and procedure. Ability to work independently and exercise initiative. Ability to establish working relationships with faculty, staff and students. Ability to prepare and present effective oral and written communication that is clear, concise and accurate. Knowledge of state and federal HR laws and regulations.

    The position requires extreme judgement and discreetness due to the confidential nature of the duties/responsibilities. The position may require overnight travel on occasion. Ability to lift 50lbs.
