Job DescriptionJob Summary: 1. The AWS Architect will be based in Sacramento, CA, but remote work is possible. 2. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with AWS tools and technologies. 3. The role involves using AWS services and tools to architect, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure applications. 4. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions on AWS. 5. Experience with AWS technologies including S3, RDS, Redshift, EC2, ELB ALB, IAM, SQS, and Route53 is essential. 6. The candidate should be able to code and script in administrative type language Ruby, Python, PowerShell, Bash and should have experience with Configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc. 7. The role involves configuring and managing AWS Application Load Balancers for distributing incoming application traffic. 8. The candidate should have the ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies and implement network security using VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) and WAF (Web Application Firewall). 9. Responsibilities include cloud design and architecture, application migration, analyzing and understanding business/technical objectives, and providing AWS practice adoption, technology expertise and process optimization blueprint for enterprise initiatives for hybrid/multi cloud. 10. The candidate will create strategies for ensuring efficient and secure data exchange between each layer, ensure proposed solutions meet or exceed technical, security, performance, cost, operational and resilience requirements, and effectively present and defend design decisions/proposal to internal and external stakeholders. 11. The candidate will also architect DevOps solutions and setup end-to-end pipelines for solutions, as well as develop scripts to automate the deployment of AWS resources at scale using Cloud Formation templates.
