    About the Role:

    Motive's Enablement Team plays a critical role in the strategic implementation of key business initiatives. Every team member builds a great working relationship with his or her counterparts in Sales, CS, Product, Product Marketing, Enterprise Systems, and all other stakeholders and works to ensure each customer-facing team member has what he or she needs to succeed at Motive.

    The Instructional Design Manager is responsible for developing high-quality content to support Enablement initiatives that span across multiple segments and business lines. In addition, they define and manage the instructional design and content development standards for the global instructional design team. Success criteria for this role include but are not limited to stakeholder and trainee satisfaction surveys and adherence to quality and SLA standards.

    What You'll Do:

    • Be a thought leader and mentor for the rest of the Instructional Design Team in the following areas (and others as determined by the management team):
      • Graphic design best practices, Instructional Design Methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.), and Stakeholder and Project Management
    • Outline and manage scope of work for team of Instructional Designers
    • Create SLAs and define expectations against them
    • Create visually appealing, engaging learning experiences as needed for all subject matter areas, including:
      • Changes to product, process, or policy
      • Gaps in knowledge of existing SOPs & information
      • Soft Skills
    • Tailor learning experiences for various roles to align with each audience member's roles & responsibilities
    • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
    • Source and/or create Enablement content including but not limited to:
      • Structured slide decks
      • Internal Product and other "One Pagers"
      • Videos (including voice over and/or webinar-style/screenshare)
      • eLearning Experiences
      • Email Templates
      • Talking Points/Scripts
      • Role Plays
      • Facilitator Guides
      • Sales Playbooks (SOPs not included, they are out of Enablement scope)
    • Manage a schedule of upcoming trainings that provide audience members & stakeholders visibility into upcoming initiatives
    • Identify optimal training methodologies based on audience learning styles
    • Create sound learning objectives for all training courses
    • Manage competing priorities from stakeholders and open communication aroundproject completion
    • Maintain well organized project documentation and course folders
    • Upload courses, assessments, and other materials to the LMS

    What We're Looking For:

    • 5+ years building content and facilitating training across a multi-site sales organization
    • 3+ years of progressive responsibility in Enablement, L&D or Training roles in a high growth, B2B, SaaS organization
    • Strong people management / development experience
    • Experience with a Learning Management System (Lessonly preferred)
    • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and actively build solutions for gaps that are slowing or blocking our ability to achieve results
    • Ability to build relationships and promote a work environment focused on team development and constant coaching
    • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
    • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
    • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
    • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)
    • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
    • Proficiency with various authoring tools (i.e. MS Office: Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Docs, sheets, slides, Captivate/Camtasia, etc.)
    • MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field (preferred, not required)
    • Familiarity with ADDIE, Kirkpatrick's evaluation model, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Bloom's Taxonomy, and other adult learning theory(preferred, not required)
    • Experience working with Continu, Salesfoce, Confluence(preferred, not required)
