    Description

    Mammography Technologist Position

    As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting in the diagnosis and management of breast diseases by performing mammographic imaging procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct screening and diagnostic mammography procedures following established protocols to ensure high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.
    • Greet and prepare patients by explaining the mammogram process, ensuring patient comfort and cooperation during imaging procedures.
    • Operate tomosynthesis (3D mammography) equipment to capture high-quality images.

    Qualifications:

    • Review images for quality and accuracy before submission.
    • Maintain compliance with MQSA guidelines, including adherence to radiation safety protocols and accurate documentation of patient information.
    • Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
    • Participate in quality control programs, including equipment checks and maintenance.
    • Possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field, as well as ARRT(R) certification with additional mammography certification (ARRT(M)) and state licensure where applicable.
    • Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and have a minimum 2-3 years of experience in mammography.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Expertise in digital mammography and 3D tomosynthesis technology.
    • Thorough understanding of breast anatomy, pathology, and positioning techniques.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure patient comfort and cooperation during imaging procedures.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
    • Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.
