    JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

    POSITION REPORTS TO: Secretary for Catholic Human Services

    DEPARTMENT: Administration

    FLSA STATUS: Exempt

    EEO CLASSIFICATION: Executive/Senior Level Officials and Managers

    Primary Purpose of Job

    The Director of Marketing will guide and execute a strategy for all Catholic Human Services' (CHS) branding strategies, including internal and external marketing, branding, engagement in CHS mission across the Archdiocese. This position will work across all CHS departments and in collaboration with Archdiocesan offices to grow awareness of the impact of and engagement in CHS mission.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Collaborate with all CHS agencies to grow awareness of how CHS and its agencies serves the Archdiocesan community.
    • Develop strategies to increase engagement with CSS agencies and resources (web, social media, events, etc).
    • Collaborating with existing Archdiocesan and CSS resources to create and execute communication tactics, e.g., mail, email, social media, and public relations
    • Utilizing data and information to identify and target distinct groups with relevant messaging and content across different stages of their audience journey
    • Regularly evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of initiatives
    • Work closely with the Archdiocesan Office for Communications to ensure consistent messaging
    • Create strategic growth initiatives that translate into actionable marketing tactics
    • Craft marketing communication briefs, copywriting and developing and executing mail, email and social media tactics
    • Selection and management of external marketing vendors when needed
    • Create and track metrics and goals to report marketing progress

    Other Job Functions

    • Responsible to be knowledgeable and to implement the Mission and Philosophy of the Archdiocese and organization within the scope of responsibility.
    • Adhere to established policies and procedures for Catholic Human Services at all times.
    • Treat all consumers/clients/participants, staff, volunteers, visitors, and community partners with dignity and respect.
    • Attend meetings, trainings, and events, as needed/assigned, to facilitate communication, collaboration, and overall quality of service.
    • Remain current with Archdiocesan priorities, current legislation, professional literature, and practice standards to ensure quality outcomes.
    • Articulate the priorities, procedures, and policies of Catholic Human Services and the organizations under its umbrella to various audiences and respond to the needs of individuals, families, communities, funders and investors.
    • Provide services to a diverse community, with sensitivity to the cultural norms, traditions, preferences, etc. of consumers and other stakeholders.
    • Demonstrate high standards of attendance and timeliness.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred

    Experience

    • Minimum of five (5) years experience in non-profit marketing
    • Strategic planning and facilitative skills to guide operational objectives.
    • Planning, directing, supervisory, sound reasoning, and judgement skills.
    • Comfort level speaking in formal and information public settings.

    Physical Requirements (With or without the aid of mechanical devices)

    • Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during work hours.
    • Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc. up to 50 lbs.

    Work Environment

    • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with participants/clients/residents, personnel and other agencies.
    • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
    • Is involved with participants/clients/residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all circumstances and conditions.
