Job Description:

As the Senior Director of Engineering at [Leading Food and Beverage Company], you will play a pivotal role in driving technical innovation and operational excellence across our engineering teams.

Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our engineering initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of key projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:
Provide visionary leadership to the engineering team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the company's mission and values.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation, empowering team members to reach their full potential.
Recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy that supports the company's long-term growth objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize engineering initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes and enhance productivity.

Technical Innovation and Product Development:
Lead the development of innovative technologies and solutions that drive product differentiation and competitive advantage.

Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new products, processes, and systems, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.

Operational Excellence and Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the reliability, safety, and consistency of our products.
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, implementing lean methodologies and operational excellence initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in engineering and manufacturing.
Identify and mitigate risks related to engineering projects, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on operations and business objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10 years of experience, including prior management experience.

Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within engineering, preferably in the food and beverage industry or a related field.

Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and deliver results.
Deep technical expertise in engineering principles, processes, and methodologies.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
