    Description

    Our client a top tier financial services firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Equity Options Settlements Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the settlement process for equity options trades, ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with OCC settlements and Options Regulatory Rules (LOPR). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of equity options trading and settlements procedures, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.

    This role will be on-site out of their Jacksonville, FL office. Offering a competitive base salary + bonus + benefits.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Settlement Processing: Execute and oversee the settlement of equity options trades, including trade confirmation, reconciliation, and delivery of securities or cash.

    2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with OCC settlements rules and Options Regulatory Rules (LOPR) throughout the settlement process. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to procedures.

    3. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate settlement-related risks by implementing robust controls and monitoring procedures. Proactively address any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the settlement process.

    4. Trade Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of equity options trades to ensure accuracy and completeness of settlement activities. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

    5. Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including trading desks, operations, and compliance, to facilitate smooth settlement processes and address any inquiries or issues related to equity options settlements.

    6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of settlement activities and prepare regular reports for management and regulatory purposes. Ensure adherence to documentation requirements and record-keeping standards.

    7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline settlement processes and enhance operational efficiency. Propose and implement process improvements to optimize settlement workflows and reduce risk.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

    2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in equity options settlements or a similar role within the financial services industry.

    3. Strong understanding of OCC settlements rules and Options Regulatory Rules (LOPR).

    4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications used for settlement processing and reconciliation.

    5. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

    6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

    7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.

    8. Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to equity options settlements.
