    We are now seeking applicants for the role of Major Gifts Officer (MGO) to start in November 2023.The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will assist the Director of Advancement to develop and implement customised strategies and plans to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major giving donors and prospects.

    The objective of MGO is to secure funds for the organisation by fulfilling the interests and passions of donors to Mulgrave School by providing them with giving opportunities and encouraging them to give.


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    Including but not limited to the following:Qualify donors through individual meetings;Create individual strategies for each qualified donor based on best practices and research;Execute the donor strategy, including but not limited to individual and family engagement activities, cultivation, and solicitation;Develop meaningful stewardship strategies for current donors, including their re-entry into the donor cycle;Work with leadership and program staff to secure project information for creating donor offers/funding proposals and reporting to donors on how their giving made a difference;Produce all donor and prospect solicitation materials and correspondence as required by donor strategies;Collaborate with the Director of Advancement on ongoing monitoring and reporting of targets and goals;Participate in all advancement team activities, such as sharing knowledge and best practises, collaborating on donor approaches, etc.;Ensure that appropriate donor recognition, acknowledgement, and stewardship programs are in place; and,Ensure moves management activity is entered accurately and promptly into Raisers Edge.

    A team player with an attitude of service beyond duty;Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail;Education and Work Experience:

    The MGO will ideally possess the following experience and background:Strong fundraising background including major gifts fundraising experience;Proven ability to create effective donor strategies and solicitations;Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of building and maintaining authentic,mission-centred relationships with donors;An understanding of prospective donor behaviour, the local philanthropy environment, and fundraising cycles;Knowledge of the independent school sector is an advantage;Bilingual (English and Chinese or Persian) is an asset;An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    The annual salary for this position is competitive and falls within the range of $68,000 to $78,000.

    The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies .We thank all interested parties.
