BASIC FUNCTION &


RESPONSIBILITY:

Detailed General Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the airport in which they work by performing various cleaning duties.

Cleaners must secure the necessary tools to perform their task at the beginning of their shift.

Duties and hours may vary depending upon the size of the building and the number of teammates they may be working with.

A cleaner may be responsible for any or all the following tasks. Tasks may also change throughout an employee's employment. Safety is your priority.
Restrooms - Cleans and sanitizes sinks, countertops, toilets, stalls, mirrors, floors, fixtures, fittings, etc. Replenish bathroom supplies tissue, soap, and hand towels as needed. Empty wastebaskets and sanitary bins replace trash liners.
Floors - Sweeps, mops, floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners. Spot clean floors as needed using a damp mop.

Spills:
Place spill tent. Clean spills immediately.
Break rooms /Kitchenettes/Offices (if applicable) - Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwave, etc. Replenish soap and hand towel supplies.
Dust – wipe down furniture, equipment, partitions, windowsills, etc.
Trash – empty wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area including the closet. Clean spills immediately.
Curb - Sweep and maintain outside areas such as the curb, empty ashtrays, and trashcans as needed. Clean spills immediately.

Other Duties - not all duties are inclusive, and other duties may be assigned as needed or if the employer and or client assign a particular project.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand; Climb; Bend forward; Kneel; during their assigned shift.

Ability to lift, carry, push/pull and transport 5+ pounds at least 75% of the shift to complete physical tasks related to
responsibilities.
