Position Expectations:

• General knowledge/experience with computers. (Specifically, accounting systems and spreadsheets)
• Ability to supervise another position
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and other employees
• Experience working in warehouse environment and with safety programs
• Ability to work as a team in an environment with a lot of distractions and nuances
• Ability to stay organized and work under timelines and in tight constraints
• Develop and practice good organizational, leadership, and motivational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• A general understanding of Agricultural is helpful but not necessary

Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities: This position will work with and lead the warehouse associate position to fulfill the following responsibilities.

Receiving Incoming Package Products

• Receive product from incoming shipments or returns/credits
• Check incoming shipment for accuracy between Salida Ag PO & Shipping papers
• Report any damaged packages, open containers and/or inaccurate shipments
• Deliver signed shipping papers and PO to Procurement once product is received
• Stock product efficiently by placing into appropriate warehouse based on future needs
• Keep main warehouse stocked for order pulling, by transferring product from stock warehouses

Fulfill Package Order Request

• Pull orders according to Order Forms
• Coordinate pulling orders with dispatch to determine order priority
• Pull orders at 100% accuracy
• Stack orders on pallets in a way that is efficient & safe for drivers
• Double check accuracy of the order prior to staging for delivery
• Stage orders for drivers to inspect.

Inventory Audits

• Conduct Inventory audits to monitor order pulling accuracy

Maintain all warehouses in a clean, organized, & safe manner

• Perform monthly safety inspections for each warehouse
• Safely stack pallets never exceeding posted maximum stack amount
• Maintain an accurate inventory list of products in stock warehouses
• Daily Forklift Safety Inspection
• Monthly Fire Extinguisher & Rodent Program Inspections – For entire facility
• Assist front counter by pulling & loading orders for walk in customers

Safety Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Maintain, and Promote a work culture at Salida Ag that is safe and in compliance with industry and agency guidelines
• Instruct, Train, and Ensure work is conducted in a manner that is safe to employees, public, and environment
• Identify potential safety issues and propose possible solutions or recommendation to promote a safe work environment
• Maintain work practices and policies to ensure compliance with various industry and government agencies guidelines.
• Attend seminars, trainings, and updates to maintain an awareness of changing regulations
• Develop training programs to meet the needs of Salida Ag employees
• Conduct safety training on a regular basis
• Review and audit current practices to ensure safe practices are being utilized by employees
• Regularly inspect facility to ensure safety
• Regular audit safety reports to make sure they are being filled out correctly
• Investigate, Document, and keep records of accidents
• Maintain safety and regulatory records
• Research any unknown or questionable practices to establish a safe compliant practice
• Maintain a level of Safety and Regulatory compliance that is expected in the industry
• Achieve and Maintain Salida Ag Responsible Ag certification
• Work in cooperation with personnel managers/team leads to implement safe work practices in all areas of the company
• Train new employees in safety and compliance policies during on boarding
• Certify new employees to safely operate forklifts
• Arrange Annual Fire Extinguisher Inspections – For all facilities and vehicles
• Maintain SDS for all products handled on site

Work Schedule:

This position is typically 8-10 hours / day.

Busy season is from February - July. During these months this position will be needed to work at a minimum every other Saturday.

During August - January this position is Monday - Friday.
