    General Description:

    The Business Transformation Manager is responsible for supporting the firm change initiatives at Holland & Knight while supporting the K&I cross-functional teams in multiple key capacities. This role contributes to the implementation and on-going support of the firm's knowledge management and innovation initiatives, products, and processes.

    The Business Transformation Manager works alongside all of the K&I leadership and teams, and business services and practice group departments, to provide ongoing service and support to Holland & Knight initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

    • Ability to digest firm risk tolerance and plan accordingly to support change initiatives
    • Use data driven risk assessments to adapt our change practice and continually improve our approach
    • Advise on and support the creation of change management reports in order to outline risks, opportunities for leadership engagement, and potential solutions
    • Appropriately collect, review, maintain and report on firm change management plans that embed the impact on our users
    • Be confident to direct verbiage in internal communications that explain processes and clarity of events
    • Evaluate and document firm sources that require inclusion of changes in technology, people, and firm transitions
    • Comprehension of change and how it will integrate into every decision firm leadership makes and provide support for all of our users
    • Provide comprehensive plans and standardized reports using PowerBI
    • Develop data analytics and visualizations solutions and applications, including PowerBI and Power Apps, in close collaboration with K&I, business, and practice leadership
    • Understand and comprehend the impact for all firm initiatives on all users internally and externally while creating a reasonable path to support user adoption
    • Create usage reports/dashboards on legal technology using data visualizations tools such as PowerBI
    • Provide support to Business Services teams around best practices in change and engagement
    • Complete change management assessments
    • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
    • Identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance
    • Develop change management plans that embed the impact on our users and meet them where they consume information
    • Work with Business Services departments to integrate change management philosophies into larger project plans
    • Experience with large portfolio budgeting, oversight, and governance
    • Use data driven risk assessments to adapt our change practice and continually improve our approach
    • Understanding of technology, its future growth, and the impact its change will have on users
    • Ability to digest user change tolerance and plan accordingly (change fatigued)
    • Consult and coach project teams
    • Create actionable deliverables for the core change management plans: Sponsor Plan, People Manager Plan, Communications Plan, and Training Plan
    • Support and engage senior leaders
    • Coach people managers and supervisors
    • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
    • Coordinate efforts with other specialists
    • Integrate change management activities into the project plan
    • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
    • Manage stakeholders
    • Track and report issues
    • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
    • Support change management at the organizational level
    • Manage the change portfolio
    • Special project and duties as assigned
    Required Skills:
    • Excellent experience in people management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational, teamwork, customer service and problem-solving skills required
    Required Qualifications & Education:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Bilingual (Spanish)
    • 5+ years' of working in a top 100 Law Firm in technology, or professional services environment, particularly within innovation
    • Experience working in Technology withing Legal and Change Management
    • Experience working across a global platform with colleagues/clients from different areas, cultures and time zones would be highly advantageous
    • Exceptional proficiency working with many Microsoft and other legal platforms especially for analyzing and communicating adoption and change to users
    • Excellent proficiency in business intelligence, portfolio governance and integration of multiple projects time management
    • In-depth knowledge of integrating process, change management, project management for legal or professional services firm
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of the legal technology landscape, including trends, tools, and industry standards. Significant experience working with legal technology, workflow systems, legal project management, and practice management tools
    • Deep understanding of law firm structure and business practices, as well as practice-specific terminology. Experience working with a broad array of legal practices including transactional, litigation, and regulatory
    • Proficiency portfolio management, change management and executing multiple projects at once
    • Ability to develop effective and collaborative relationships among business teams, lawyers, firm administrative departments, and vendors
    • Champion for change management, process improvement, user adoption, and the constant evolution of complex data strategies and needs. Initiative and creativity to develop unique and new approaches to address existing challenges and/or positively affect lawyer productivity, client service, and overall fiscal health of the firm
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex assignments with competing deadlines and priorities. Experience managing projects from inception through planning, execution, and delivery phases
    • The ability to understand and operate in grey areas
    • A positive, "can do" attitude
    • The ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate a passion for the work performed
    • The ability to visibly demonstrate a "sense of urgency" that is required in the 24/7, always on, fast paced culture of a global law firm
    • The ability to support wider firm initiatives and demonstrate strong leadership, even if not in agreement with a particular decision or initiative
    • An understanding of project sponsorship and stakeholder management
    • Strong business acumen
    This position may be filled in New York. In accordance with the New York State Pay Transparency Law and New York City Human Rights Law, New York State is $115k - $206.9k/yr and New York City is $137.9k - $206.9k/yr. These ranges are specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
