    Description

    The role of the Application Support Specialist is to provide technical support for Premiers core production applications. This includes our warehouse management system (WMS) and shop floor production system. The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's applications. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving issues, and collaborating with other IT professionals to optimize application performance. The Application Support Specialist will be required to work with business users, software developers, system administrators and other IT technicians to ensure continuous service delivery demands that exceed customer satisfaction.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide first-line support for end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to various applications.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to understand application functionality and user requirements.
    • Investigate and diagnose application-related issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
    • Escalate complex problems to higher-level support or development teams as necessary.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration and performance of applications.
    • Document and maintaining support knowledge articles, administration checklists and procedures.
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude and the ability to work independently
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills
    • Flexibility and self-learning ability
    • Must be a skilled communicator, director, and motivator -- ability to fully listen and understand co-workers and leadership and address their needs appropriately.
    • Team player -- ability to work well with mangers and staff. Collaborative and compromising, able to foster a positive work environment.
    Requirements:
    • A bachelors degree in computer science or information technology or related field OR equivalent years of work experience
    • Experience supporting applications in a warehousing, logistics or production environment preferred
    • Must possess a positive attitude and eagerness to work to complete assignments in a timely fashion, and strive to maintain the highest standards at all times

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Ability to walk and stand in production floor operations for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to periodically perform work in non-climate-controlled areas.
