- Serving as the main liaison for all aspects of master planned community development.
- Efficiently coordinating the development of company-owned property to meet business and financial goals.
- Ensuring successful project delivery through meticulous management of construction schedules, contracts, budgets, environmental studies, and permit compliance.
- Overseeing bidding processes and schedules, and ensuring adherence to contractual commitments and regulatory standards.
- Developing and managing land development budgets, reports, and invoicing timelines.
- Leading contract negotiations with land development trade partners.
- Collaborating with external consultants, such as architects and civil engineers, to ensure project execution.
- Proficiently understanding and navigating all stages of the development process and associated timelines.
- Reviewing contracts and providing guidance on appropriate actions.
- Securing timely lot delivery with favorable development conditions for the company.
- Playing a vital role in jurisdictional planning processes and anticipating requirements for building permits.
- Understanding design-related elements necessary to meet jurisdictional standards.
- Being flexible to undertake additional duties as required.
- At least 4 years of advancing experience in land management within the homebuilding industry.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Planning is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in supervising staff is necessary.
- Demonstrated capability to foresee potential challenges and suggest advantageous solutions.
- Proficient in succinct writing and adept at public speaking and presentations.
- Driven by action and oriented towards achieving tangible results.
