    As a Director of Land Development your role entails overseeing project management, including plan preparation, budget monitoring, and client/staff relations, while also conducting technical reviews, implementing quality control measures, and managing project schedules and budgets.

    As the Land Development Director, your responsibilities include:

    • Serving as the main liaison for all aspects of master planned community development.
    • Efficiently coordinating the development of company-owned property to meet business and financial goals.
    • Ensuring successful project delivery through meticulous management of construction schedules, contracts, budgets, environmental studies, and permit compliance.
    • Overseeing bidding processes and schedules, and ensuring adherence to contractual commitments and regulatory standards.
    • Developing and managing land development budgets, reports, and invoicing timelines.
    • Leading contract negotiations with land development trade partners.
    • Collaborating with external consultants, such as architects and civil engineers, to ensure project execution.
    • Proficiently understanding and navigating all stages of the development process and associated timelines.
    • Reviewing contracts and providing guidance on appropriate actions.
    • Securing timely lot delivery with favorable development conditions for the company.
    • Playing a vital role in jurisdictional planning processes and anticipating requirements for building permits.
    • Understanding design-related elements necessary to meet jurisdictional standards.
    • Being flexible to undertake additional duties as required.

    About You:

    • At least 4 years of advancing experience in land management within the homebuilding industry.
    • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Planning is highly desirable.
    • Prior experience in supervising staff is necessary.
    • Demonstrated capability to foresee potential challenges and suggest advantageous solutions.
    • Proficient in succinct writing and adept at public speaking and presentations.
    • Driven by action and oriented towards achieving tangible results.
