    The Rigging Foreman leads onsite installation teams through the preparation, installation, commissioning, and closeout of automated and traditional theatrical rigging systems. This role is responsible for understanding the full project scope, schedule, and deliverables, and for executing work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company and industry standards.
    The Rigging Foreman serves as the primary onsite leader and company representative, coordinating closely with Project Management, Engineering, clients, and other trades. This position requires a hands-on leader who combines strong technical rigging expertise with clear communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Organizes, manages, and executes the onsite installation schedule and daily priorities
    • Leads daily crew meetings to assign tasks, review milestones, and align on day-to-day objectives
    • Supervises and directs onsite installation technicians, ensuring efficient use of labor and adherence to project goals
    • Coordinates labor needs and resource requests with project coordination and operations personnel
    • Serves as the primary onsite representative to clients, consultants, inspectors, and other trades
    • Leads and documents daily safety briefings for installation teams and participates in all required site safety meetings
    • Enforces compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, PPE requirements, fall protection, and lockout/tagout procedures
    • Maintains authority to stop work when unsafe conditions or non-compliant practices are observed
    • Identifies, reports, and assists in resolving safety hazards, incidents, and near-misses in coordination with project and safety leadership
    • Verifies proper installation of automated and traditional rigging systems in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards
    • Reads, interprets, and applies CSI, architectural, and structural drawings and specifications
    • Commissions and configures automated rigging systems, including verification of system operation and safety functionality
    • Collaborates with Engineering and Project Management to resolve discrepancies between drawings and field conditions
    • Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, and corrects installation deficiencies to ensure system performance and quality
    • Accurately captures and maintains red lines and as-built documentation reflecting field deviations
    • Provides daily progress updates, photos, and end-of-day reports as required
    • Communicates task status, schedule impacts, and completion milestones to the Project Manager
    • Supports punch list creation, tracking, and closeout activities
    • Coordinates with other trades onsite to ensure efficient installation without impeding overall project progress
    • Maintains clean, organized, and professional work areas
    • Manages job boxes, tools, and remaining project materials in coordination with warehouse personnel
    • Ensures project equipment and tooling are properly prepared, checked out, returned, or reset between phases
    • Works with project coordination, purchasing, and logistics teams to return unused materials and process RMAs in a timely manner
    • Provides comprehensive user training on automated and traditional rigging systems
    • Assists Sales, Project Managers, and Engineers with site surveys, evaluations, and pre-construction planning as needed
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Skills & Experience Requirements
    • Minimum of five (5) years of field installation experience and two (2) years of field supervision experience
    • Valid ETC Rigging Installer Certification with demonstrated experience installing ETC rigging products
    • ETCP Rigging - Theater Certification required or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • OSHA 30 certification preferred
    • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and theatrical rigging best practices
    • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, crew members, project teams, and other trades
    • Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems in the field, and make sound decisions under schedule and site constraints
    • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, often for extended durations
    Physical Working Conditions
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with loads up to 250 lbs
    • Ability to work at heights, including ladders, lifts, trusses, and stage grids
    • Physical ability to walk, climb, crawl, and work in confined or difficult positions
    • Work is performed in active construction sites, theaters, and occupied venues
