    Part TimeFront Office Associate, Downtown SF

    Saturday, Sunday, Monday


    Join our team located in the energized, convenient SOMA area of San Francisco. SOMA Storage is seeking an experienced, reliable Part Time Front Office Associate. The primary responsibilities of the Office Associate will involve sales, customer service and performing a variety of administrative duties including open and closing the property front office and effective cash management.

    Basic responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Sales:

    • Answer phones and conduct in person conversations with prospective tenants utilizing the sales script provided. Maintain sales conversion of at least 80%.
    • Manage inventory list to understand vacant units and sizes available to respond to sales questions.
    • Conduct follow up calls to potential tenants to close the sale.

    Customer Service:

    • Maintain professional and courteous attitude at all times.
    • Meet standards to achieve acceptable performance on frequent Shop evaluators.

    Administrative Duties:

    • Follow company procedures for open and closing activities, including counting and balancing all daily cash deposits.
    • Process paperwork for new tenants including collecting and posting initial payments.
    • Prepare and process daily correspondence including invoices.
    • Follow up with any tenants who are delinquent in monthly payments.

    Ideal candidates will have:

    • 1-2 years customer service and administrative experience
    • Basic math skills with trustworthiness for cash management
    • Proven excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication including ability to make sound judgements without supervision.
    • Proven ability to work independently, ability to change priorities when needed and maintain a detailed oriented office environment.
    • Ability to multi-task with excellent follow through to pending issues
    • Projection of a professional image by following dress code and appearance standards as set forth by the community
    • A positive, upbeat attitude
    • Bi-lingual English/Spanish is not required but preferred.

    Work Environment and Schedule: Office setting with warehouse adjacent. This office has elected an alternative work week where 40 hours are achieved in four 10-hour days per week with paid lunches. This position is 30 hours per week Saturday, Sunday, Monday.


    Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds. Must be able to sit or stand and use a computer, including a mouse and/or keyboard.
