Payroll Specialist Job Summary

CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a client in Irving, TX seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to help process payroll and maintain employee records. In this role, you will help confirm time cards for employees, process multiple payrolls regularly, and run reports prior to each payroll to check for accuracy. We prefer candidates who have at least three years of experience in payroll and are proficient in 10-key.

Payroll Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

• Process employee payroll for multiple pay frequencies
• Cross-check time cards for accuracy
• Organize employee records
• Prepare payroll reports for management once a month
• Assist with benefits and deduction audits to ensure accuracy of all records
• Assist with uploading garnishment documents to HRIS

Payroll Specialist Requirements

• 3 to 5 years' experience in payroll processing
• A high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in finance, business, or accounting preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Multi state payroll experience
• Process multi pay frequencies
• Paylocity experience a plus
• Process payroll for at least 100 employees
  

Payroll Specialist Requirements

• Temp to Hire
• $26.44-$31.25/hour
• Hybrid after 90 days
