    Financial Shared Services Associate – AR Team Support

    Status: Non-exempt (Hourly)

    Department: Finance/Accounting

    Position Summary

    The Financial Shared Services AR Team Support role is primarily to provide support for Accounts Receivable Team members. The ideal candidate should exhibit exceptional customer service skills, a positive attitude, strong excel knowledge, willingness to learn and a solid attention to detail. The AR Team member must be able to take direction and provide general support while operating independently to complete assigned tasks on time. Additionally, the successful candidate is also a service-oriented person who enjoys high volume transactional responsibilities and takes pride in the accuracy and thoroughness of their work. The FSS Associate will also be expected to interact professionally, both internally and externally throughout the business, with customers and vendors of Plug Power.

    Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Receivable email, communicating with customers and internal team and management as necessary.
  • Ability to multitask a high volume of requests to pull backup for invoicing submission requests.
  • Apply customer payments received to open Accounts Receivable
  • Create and Upload a high volume of invoices created to multiple customer portals.
  • Daily AR Reporting, Invoice Reporting and PO Tracking updates
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment compliant with SOX.
  • Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships within the organization; engage with cross-functional partners proactively in completion of job responsibilities.
  • Support ongoing process improvement projects.
  • Represent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Ad hoc reporting and requests as necessary for the AR Team
  • Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience in a customer service or detail-oriented role required.
  • Approach all work activities with a customer service focus.
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Uncompromising dedication to quality
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Must be driven and self-motivated.
