Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist In this vital role, you will deliver evidence-based behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help clients develop essential skills, improve behavior, and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients' progress in communication, social skills, and daily living activities
- Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor client progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, toileting, feeding, and dressing, promoting independence and self-care skills
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively
- Collaborate with supervisors, teachers, and caregivers to ensure consistency across environments and optimize client outcomes
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, treatment records, and care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
- Support a safe and nurturing environment by adhering to behavioral health protocols and promoting patient care standards
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required; willingness to learn on the job is highly valued
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach new skills and collaborate with team members and families
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention strategies in a compassionate manner
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward working with individuals with autism or other developmental challenges
- Must meet all state-specific requirements for RBT certification or be willing to obtain certification upon hire
