    Description
    TechConnect is seeking a Sr. Network Administrator for an industry leading organization that is located in Tulsa, OK.

    We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in network administration to oversee network operations, security implementations and ensure the company is following industry best practices.

    As a Sr.

    Network Administrator you will play a key role in troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading and securing the companies network infrastructure while providing them with network availability, reliability and optimization.

    Responsibilities
    Monitor network performance, handle routine maintenance (patch management, firmware upgrades, system backups) and proactively identify potential network challenges.
    Identify, investigate and solve network problems and connectivity issues w/the use of monitoring tools.
    Design, configure and deploy network infrastructure equipment (routers, switches, WAP's, etc.).
    Document all work (network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, lessons learned, resolution steps, etc.).
    Optimize network performance using traffic analysis, bandwidth management and quality of service (QoS) configurations.

    Evaluate new technologies, recommend network enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability, and collaborate with all IT departments/team members to ensure seamless integration of network services with other information technology systems.


    To be successful in this role you need strong oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills so that you can work effectively with users/stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates and address any questions or concerns.

    You need problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities.

    High attention to detail, ability to think "outside of the box" and provide technical support and guidance to end users, junior admins, IT team members and leadership.

    Qualifications/Education
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field and/or relevant work experience.

    5-6 years of experience in network administration with a focus on enterprise environments, knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP and a solid foundation in network security principles, network monitoring tools and industry best practices.

    Proven experience troubleshooting, monitoring and analyzing complex network problems.

    Preferred:
    Any of these certifications: ECP, ECS, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP.

    Preferred:
    Extreme, Palo Alto and Cisco network equipment experience.

    Work Location/Travel
    This position is an onsite position at our clients Tulsa office (not a remote or hybrid position).
    Might be occasional travel in this role, however, most of the work will be done from the Tulsa office. Must be willing and able to perform all job related travel associated with this position.
