    Summary/Objective

    The Maintenance Supervisor directly supervises the daily activities of technics team members ensuring the timely and proper completion of scheduled and assigned tasks along with the prompt resolution of any emergent issues that arise during the course of the shift. The Technics Team Leader is responsible for collecting relevant equipment and process data while assisting the Maintenance Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring of preventive maintenance programs, along with process improvement projects, to enhance the overall equipment effectiveness and capacity.

    Essential Functions

    1. Supervise technics team members in the performance of routine preventive maintenance and issue resolution on production and facility systems and determines work assignments based on an evaluation of job requirements and individual expertise.

    2. Assure completion of assigned maintenance and repair tasks by monitoring work progress performed by technics team members, inspecting work performance and providing feedback to address deficiencies as necessary, redirecting work efforts to meet critical and/or necessary work requirements, and recommend the use of additional department staff or contract personnel to achieve assigned completion targets.

    3. Assist in the skills development of the technics team through identification, development, and deliverance of necessary training in the proper use of safe and appropriate work methods.

    4. Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance system to track work completion and develop future work plans.

    5. Assist with documenting the cost of maintenance repairs and services by maintaining records of time and materials charged to each job and reviewing status reports with the Maintenance Manager.

    6. Assure technics team members have the necessary equipment and supplies to perform required services. Assists Maintenance Manager in identifying equipment or tooling needs and developing specifications and sourcing.

    7. Ensure compliance with any state or federal regulations or laws related to environment protection, hazardous waste disposal, and the use of chemical substances and materials.

    8. Enforce plant/departmental rules and policies regarding employee conduct by advising and counseling employees whenever they are not in compliance.

    9. Utilize proven reliability methodology and failure analysis for managing ongoing reliability and improvement of equipment, processes and supporting equipment.

    10. Support roll-out, utilization, and enhancement of the SAP Plant Maintenance Module within the facility to include training team members as required.

    11. Support process improvement and lean manufacturing efforts throughout the facility as required.

    12. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

    Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule. This is a shift schedule position.

    Travel

    Limited to none.

    Required Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's or associates degree in electrical engineering/technology. Experience and/or certificate may be considered in lieu of degree.

    2. 5+ years of management experience in Maintenance related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Beverage or food processing experience preferred.

    3. Proficient with Microsoft products. SAP experience is preferred.

    4. Ability to work within and encourage a team environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. SAP Experience preferred.

    2. Electrical, PLC, controls and/or instrumentation background.
