    With CMS certification pending as a CORF, (Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitative Facility), Care First excitedly looks to expand services to every corner of our community.

    We currently have an opening for a compassionate driver for non-emergency medical transportation. We're seeking someone who understands the importance of professionalism, empathy, and patience when dealing with others who may have physical limitations. Our drivers don't just transport wheelchair-bound patients, they play a key part in a patient's recovery process while bringing them back into a world that may have been previously out of reach.

    Responsibilities:

    • Safely operate a transportation vehicle
    • Load and unload wheelchair-bound patients
    • Properly track and document activity log
    • Report any issues or incidents
    • Transport patients to a myriad of places including doctor appointments, recreational outings, vocational workshops, day therapy program, errands etc.
    • Cash handling
    • Assist with logistics

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 year experience
    • Valid driver's license
    • Ability to lift 75 pounds
    • Full range of motion with the ability to bend, kneel, lift and push
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Critical thinking skills
    • Technical experience with operating mobile devices
    • Candidates must be flexible and have a high level of patience
    • Current Michigan vehicle registration and auto insurance
    • Excellent driving record
