YOUR GROOMING CAREER:

Start your career in grooming as a Groomer Trainee. As a Groomer Trainee in our Grooming Salon, you'll build personal relationships with clients each time they visit and become part of their family. You'll know their pets' styles and personalities to create a customized experience just for them.

From that first shampoo to the final strut home, you'll take pride in the services you provide.

GROOMED FOR GREATNESS:

You bring the passion, we'll bring the training. Petsmart offers a training program that sets you up for success.

• Stage 1 - Bather: Jumpstart your education by getting hands-on experience with our pets. Our top priority is safety certification. Under the salon leader's guidance, you'll train as a bather, learn about dog breeds and styling, help dogs feel comfortable, bathe them, trim their nails, and support groomers throughout their stay.
• Stage 2 - Grooming Academy: After gaining experience, you'll attend our Grooming Academy. In a 4-week classroom environment, you'll gain insights from experienced trainers. You'll dive deeper into breed styling, caring for different dog breeds, and get comfortable with tools and clippers. At graduation, you'll receive a free tool kit worth over $600.
• Stage 3 - Groomer Trainee: You'll put your new education and tool kit to work when heading back to our salon. With leadership and oversight from experienced groomers, you'll begin grooming all breeds and sizes of dogs. We aim for 200 dogs to ensure diversity and experience.
• Stage 4 - Pet Stylist in Training: Now, hone your skill set. Build relationships with your own clients, advise on styles, suggest new services, and share in the joy of a client picking up their freshly coiffed pet.
