Job description
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in Huron, CA. This role is suited for professionals with expertise in speech and language assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students. The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and demonstrate strong skills in providing individualized therapy to support communication development within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals.
- Document and maintain accurate records of services provided, progress, and outcomes.
- Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and contribute recommendations.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and maintain current knowledge in speech pathology.
Desired Qualifications And Experience
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with school-age children in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding special education services.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and maintain compliance with deadlines.
