- 1+ years of experience in cheese sales
- Provides superior customer service
- Takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
- Answers customer questions regarding products; assists them with selections
- Uses suggestive selling techniques and advanced product knowledge to meet customer needs and build sales
- Works with Deli Manager to develop sales goals and track against them
- Prepares, packages, merchandises fresh product effectively
- Slices, makes specialty cuts, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- Assists in technical areas as needed (e.g., basic setup and cleanup processes)
- Cleans and sanitizes display cases
- Operates / maintains equipment properly
- Complies with H-EB food safety and sanitation standards, and department / Store operating procedures
- Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 6+ months of experience in cheese sales
- Completion of Company Orientation, and food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- Advanced knowledge of top cheese families and selections, and the cheesemaking process
- Knowledge of computer systems and equipment (e.g., PC, symbol, scales, label machine)
- Strong customer service skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Reading and writing skills
- Planning and organizing skills
- Function in a fastpaced, retail environment, in detailed and precise tasks
- Work with Customers, staying attentive to their needs

As a Cheese Shop Specialist, you'll provide a well-stocked, well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll prepare, package, and merchandise fresh cheese on a daily basis while maintaining all food safety and sanitation standards. You'll continue to grow your knowledge of specialty cheeses from around the world.
Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service.
